Why can't I create a vampire?
Sometimes when you try to create a vampire, you will get the message "Too many vampires have been created from this machine today." Sometimes this is not actually because vampires have been created from your machine, but because you are being connected through a proxy server which many vampires have been created through. Most notably, this can happen with AOL, who pass all their web traffic through a few proxy servers. There are a few courses open to you.
- You could create a vampire from a machine which doesn't go through the proxy server.
- You could get a friend to create a vampire for you and then give you the password.
- You could simply try again the next day - the quota for the IP address might not have been exceeded next time.
